Snow Summit

Snow Summit in Big Bear is the ski resort that made the region famous for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports. They offer a number of discounts (see below). This ski resort  is one of three spots for winter sports in the Big Bear mountain area (the other two being Bear Mountain ski resort, plus a snow tubing spot for kids called Snow Play):

    This resort is unique in that it offers night sessions and hosts the Scenic Sky Chair. (A much smaller lift can be found at the Alpine Slide at Snow Play.) Other information about Big Bear Snow Summit includes the following:

    • Kids 6 and under are free with paying adults.
    • Season passes for this resort are interchangeable with Bear Mountain.
    • Free shuttles are provided between this resort to Bear Mountain.
    • Ski or ride free on your birthday with proper ID. (Double check in case this changes.)
    • Offers the Scenic Sky chair.
    • Provides ski lift tickets and discounts.
    • Ski and snowboard rentals are offered.
    • Provides night sessions at Ego Trip Park.
    • Includes the Westridge Terrain Park.

    This resort also offers summer activities! On certain days of the week, visitors can ride the Scenic Sky Chair to the mountain top for barbecue lunch and hike back down the ski runs. This lift offers spectacular views of Big Bear Valley and the mountains.
