This site was created by a mom, teacher, and writer who loves to visit Big Bear Lake, California! I wanted one site with all the info needed for our family trips--news, attractions, addresses, links, and phone numbers. Hopefully it's helpful to other visitors too:)

Parks

Many parks and picnic areas are available for residents and visitors to Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, Fawnskin, Sugarloaf, and other areas in this beautiful mountain community. Public parks in the area offer tot lots, picnic tables, sports equipment like basketball hoops, and more. Some parks even host beaches and rentals for parties.

PARKS

Miller Park 1178 Chickasaw in Fawnskin, CA 92333
Over an acre, this park offers a play ground, basketball court, tennis court, picnic areas, and both outdoor and portable restrooms. Onsite is also the original Big Bear school house. Available for rent: 10,000 square feet of park space and School House.

Rotary Park at Pine Knot Pine Knot Ave. at Big Bear Blvd. Big Bear Lake, CA
Small playground and beach area right by the post office. Ducks often gather in the area, and there are benches and small walking paths.

The Ranch 2050 Erwin Ranch Rd., Big Bear City, CA 92314
Offers a 13.8 acre facility, tennis courts, hockey arena, soccer fields, basketball court, volleyball court. swimming pool, four cabins (Sleep twenty-four), and dining Hall for meals and meetings. Entire facility is available for Rent.

Erwin Lake Park 1140 Hatchery Dr., Big Bear City (Erwin Lake), CA 92314
This facility is over an acre and offers a play lot, volleyball court, walking path, group picnic pavilion, and portable restrooms. Available for rent: 10,000 square feet of park space and Picnic Pavilion.

Meadow Park 41220 Park Ave., Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
This 16-acre area includes a public swimming area with lifeguards on one side. In another area of the park are tennis courts, volleyball court, horse shoes, 2 lighted ball fields, play lot, group picnic pavilion, group picnic grove, restrooms. Available for rent: 10,000 square feet of park space and Picnic Pavilion.

Ski Beach Park 41216 Park Ave., Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
These grounds are 2 acres and include a play lot, lake access, fishing pier, and restrooms. Available for rent: 10,000 square feet of park space.

Sugarloaf Park 44828 Baldwin Lane, Sugarloaf, CA 92386
This 6-acre facility provides a ball park, skate park, tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court, playground, group picnic pavilion, and restrooms. Available for rent: 10,000 square feet of park space and Picnic Pavilion.


PICNIC AREAS

Aspen Glen Picnic Area 40101 Mill Creek Rd.,  San Bernardino National Forest, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315This facility includes a picnic area, multiple barbecue areas and fire pits. Benches, tables, and restrooms also available. Good area for hiking. Parking requires an Adventure Pass (they can be purchased annually or daily).

Grout Bay Picnic Area 1/4 mile west of Fawnskin on Hwy. 38, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
This picnic area offers beautiful views of the lake and Snow Summit in a quiet setting right off the main highway. After a little walk along the shore, you reach an area where you can sit and admire the stunning landscape.

Dana’s Point Picnic Area 9369 North Shore Dr.,  Fawnskin, CA 92333
This 6-acre facility offers restrooms, picnic areas, and lake access. Available for rent: 10,000 square feet of park space.
